basic summery: My favorite relationships to read about is the unbalanced friendship (like A Separate Peace and The Kite Runner) and the Father-Son relationship. I fucking love Dads. This book is about my favorite kind of hero, hero of humanity, compassion and love. A hero who is otherwise your everyday background and is only different by his extreme heart. None of the characters have names but it follows a man and his son in a post-apocalyptic world. It's pure day to day survival. Reading it makes me question my own personality. It makes me wonder if I'm capable of being as good as the man and how I could be more like him. He needs to be everyone's fucking role model.

There's also lots of spooky stuff and cannibals to keep you on your toes.

other comments: The post apocalyptic world is in dire need of Operation Vacuum.

book : Into Thin Air

title: Into Thin Air

basic summery: This is a book about a man who climb Everest but how the majority of his team died during the decent. This was my attempt to branch out my reading library. This book is polar opposite to everything else I read and my personality. I'll list some of the reason now:

1. This book is non-fiction
2. This book is about sports
3. This book is not about dark comedy, satires, murder, cynical nature of human being or imagination.

With an adventure stand point, it's pretty exciting. He details the process you would take if you were to climb Everest really well. I may not be a sports buff but climbing Everest is something I believe to be cool to just about anybody. I spent most of the book cold with frostbite on the behalf of the people involved in the climb. I think I didn't enjoy it as much as others would because I get really stressed when suspenseful and awful things happen to characters in books. (Which is why I only read Stephen King during daylight)

other comments: If I climb Everest, it'll be with you. (And we'll become best friend popsicles at the top)

basic summery: A bunch of men are gathered because this porn star is going to break the world record for the most people fucked in a porno. That's 600 fucking people !! Three men alternate telling chapters. Most of the book is just the waiting room and the men interacting with one another while they wait their turn. All the men have different reasons on why they want to screw Cassie Wright (the porn star) and their reasons are all kind of fucked up.

other comments: This is the author of Fight Club and one of my favorite books, Rant. This novel however, despite having over 600 implied sex scene is so sub par compared to the rest of his novels. Highly unrecommended for a Palahniuk book.

basic summery: Zombies! Zombies! Zombies! People call it a fad but I am so glad that zombies are so popular. They are the only supernatural creature that make for excellent horrors and comedies. I don't know if you've ever read a book written as an oral history but it's one of my favorite formats. It makes for quick reads and a "straight to the point" page turner. Every line is action. You get all kinds of perspective here; people from different countries, different ages, and different power (government or otherwise). You learn about the start of the outbreak to the many ways people found to survive. It keeps you interested because it covers so many scenarios. It's like the SAW of zombie survival.

other comments: Brooks also wrote the Zombie Survival Guide. (But I didn't read it)

author: Patrick Suskind

basic summery: This book is something to get excited about. It's about this man called Jean-Baptiste Grenouille and his cynical outlook on life. His sense of smell is extremely developed and it's the strangest fictional "super power" I have ever read about. Human nature is completely dissected in his sardonic voice. Grenouille kills people in search of the 'perfect perfume' and the whole read is extremely excellent. This book has convinced me you don't need mind control or X-men powers to be a complete badass. It's as simple as being about to smell.

other comments: I told you there's murder. It's not a spoiler. The book cover tells you that much.

I also own it so you can borrow it if you'd like.
